Brighton Kaoma grew up in the Copperbelt region of Zambia knowing that where you start shouldn't determine how far you go.
From Zambia to Columbia University in New York to the United Nations — where as Global Director of SDSN Youth he built leadership programs across 20+ countries with 20,000+ members, awarded by Queen Elizabeth II, and recognized by President Obama and Chancellor Angela Merkel. His work has taken him across Forbes, WWF, and global institutions on four continents.
But the more ground he covered, the clearer the gap became. The world's most mission-driven leaders — working on climate, conservation, health, technology — were doing it largely alone. He built Amano So to close that gap. Today, the Mentor Hut™ model brings together senior and emerging leaders across sectors and continents in structured, facilitated circles - deployed with partners including WWF, the World Bank, and Columbia University, reaching millions through the leaders it develops.
