Amano membership provides access to mentor groups and events. Annual membership fees can be paid individually or through organizations. We provide scholarships to exceptional talent on a case-by-case basis. Read more in our FAQ.

Our members are diverse leaders, both older and younger, from various regions including the USA, Europe, and the global south. They are individuals who are passionate about making a positive impact in the world and driving change in their respective fields.

Similar to other professional networks, we charge an annual membership fee of $6,000. However, we offer a sliding scale for entrepreneurs, academics, and those without the financial means to pay the full fee. Additionally, we have a scholarship program available for eligible applicants.

Members gain access to a custom-curated mentorship group, where each participant is matched based on their interests and background, ensuring a diverse mix of experience, location, and level of expertise. Additionally, members can participate in exclusive events, workshops, and conversations with thought leaders and changemakers from various industries.

After submitting your application, our team will review it to determine if there's a potential fit. If so, we'll schedule a short interview with a member of our core team. Upon a successful match, we'll send you a link to create your profile and complete the payment process. You'll then be matched into a mentorship group within approximately 30 days and start receiving invitations to our events.

No, our model focuses on group mentorship to facilitate a more diverse range of support and encourage the idea that learning is a multi-directional process. We believe that both established and young leaders have valuable insights to share with one another, and our group mentorship model fosters this exchange of knowledge and experience.

The mentor huts are designed to be a safe space where members can bring their best thinking, work on their most pressing challenges, and contribute their unique skills to support the community. The sessions are facilitated for the first few months and then transition to being self-sustaining. The model is structured around ideas that encourage reflection on key topics or questions raised by members during each meeting, with the goal of sharing experiences, insights, and offering mutual support.

Mentor huts typically meet once a month for 90 minutes, providing a consistent rhythm for members to connect, share, and grow together. These meetings can take place either virtually or in person, depending on the preferences and locations of the group members.

Members are expected to actively participate in their mentor hut meetings and engage with the Amano So community. On average, members should anticipate dedicating 2-3 hours per month to attend meetings and events, with additional time for optional activities, networking, and collaboration opportunities.
